Vicar's Letter February 2016
THE CHALLENGE BEGINS… on Plough Sunday we reflected upon PREPARATION – as the farmers and gardeners of this nation prepare the land for the forthcoming growing season by clearing out and cleaning out so we prepare ourselves spiritually and materially for the year of our personal growth ahead.
If you are interested in joining our Lent Challenge ‘Living on £1-a-day’ please see our website for advice and ideas. Some of us are doing it for 5 days from Ash Wednesday to the following Sunday. Monies raised will go to food charities.

As we shop during this fortnight try looking for this logo on our tins, packets etc and choosing to buy the product instead of another; Fairtrade works to change the scandal of cheaper food at the expense of the farmers and workers and to give a fair and guaranteed price for their labour. For many it makes a life changing difference – see our website for stories of the difference Fairtrade has made. Small differences to us can mean huge changes in the livelihood and wellbeing of others… Food Matters.
