Who we work with

Who do we work with?

We participate in a scheme set up by the charity Fairshare to collect surplus food from Tesco Express in Alderley Edge.

For more information visit www.fairshare.org.uk

We have the capacity to collect surplus perishable food from other businesses in Alderley Edge.  We don’t collect fish or meat but are very keen to collect more fruit and vegetables and bakery products.

We distribute our food via a number of partner organisations.

  1. Hampers of Hope.  Hampers of Hope run job clubs for unemployed people and food banks for people who are short of food in Wilmslow, Knutsford and Handforth.  Their website is www.hampersofhope.co.uk.  We take perishable and non-perishable food to their centres in Knutsford and Wilmslow and also distribute hampers to people referred to them who live in Alderley Edge.  www.hampersofhope.co.uk
  1. Wilmslow Area Accommodation Project.  This is a project run by Riverside Housing.  It provides safe and supported housing for people who have previously been homeless and may have a history of offending or dependency issues.  We support this project with deliveries of perishable and non-0perishable food , bedding and toiletries.  Their website is www.riverside.org.uk/in-your-neighbourhood/salford-2/care-and-support/wilmslow-area-accommodation-project
  1. ROAR Macclesfield.  ROAR stands for Reach Out and Recover.  They are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company that offers people a safe, secure and stable environment where they can tackle their addiction and other personal issues.  We deliver perishable food to ROAR.  www.reachoutandrecover.org
  1. Cre8.  Cre8 is a charity that helps and supports young people and their families in one of the poorest areas of Macclesfield. The perishable food we give to Cre8 is used to teach young people about cooking and eating healthy food and is also distributed among the families the charity works with.  http://www.cre8macclesfield.org
