Spire Appeal Swimming Vicar

Revd Jane Parry has been swimming the equivalent distance of swimming the English Channel - 22 miles - but in her local gym pool, Energie. It was 1,750 lengths of the pool and took around 5 weeks swimming an average of 1,000 metres per day.

'I saw an article about a group of ladies wanting to swim the Channl for Charity but it cost in excess of £2,500 to hire the offical boat and to set it up. So they decided to swim the same distance in their local Leisrue Centre pool. As I swim most monrings anyway I though perhaps I could do something similar. I have received great support and raised in excess of £2,000 which will help to our Spire appeal target.'
