ALDERLEY EDGE BIBLE STUDIES 2019-2020
2020 VISION: READING THE BOOK OF REVELATION TODAY
The last book of the Bible has always lurked on the margins of the Christian consciousness, fascinating and repelling by turns. It’s a first-century apocalyptic vision, which has inspired artists and visionaries down the ages. But it also has a lot to tell us about the world we live in and the great biblical themes of judgement, justice, and the victory of God. In these studies we’ll try to get behind the apocalyptic symbolism to reflect on some of the big issues facing our world, and to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches today.
All welcome: all you need is an enquiring mind (and a Bible!).
