no child should feel alone
The Children’s Society was founded in 1881 by Edward Rudolph. Since then the Society’s work has had to change considerably to keep pace with modern needs and challenges. Despite these many changes, the Society’s guiding principals have remained the same: to make childhood better, and that no child should feel alone.
Here at St Philip and St James we raise money for the Children’s Society through the collection box scheme. We have around 45 box holders and raise between £700 and £800 every year.
We are always very happy to welcome new box holders, if you would like to know more, you can contact Liz Horrocks at: lizhorrocks@yahoo.co.uk
