Following the retirement of Rev’d Jon Hale, our church is entering into a period of close cooperation with two neighbouring churches where Jon was previously the Rector, St Mary’s Alderley and St Catherine’s Birtles, and our team is taking the bulk of the services at these two churches.
Both churches are very delightful and special in different ways. St Mary’s has a really gorgeous old church building in a beautiful rural setting and a faithful and loyal congregation. St Catherine’s is a tiny church with a small, friendly and outgoing congregation.
If you would like to join us for worship at either church, the pattern of worship is as follows:
- St Mary’s have a service on Sunday at 9.45am. On the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month this is a service of Holy Communion using traditional language. On the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month it is a shorter Family Service.
- St Catherine’s have a service every Sunday at 11.15am which is perfect for people who like to get up late on Sundays! On the 1st Sunday of the month this is a shorter Family Service. On the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays it is a service of Holy Communion using traditional language. And on the 3rd Sunday of the month it is a traditional service of mattins.
